Malnutrition is a serious issue in India, affecting 48% of the population’s children under the age of five. This not only negatively impacts their physical growth, but also hinders their ability to interact with and learn from their environment.
MMC’s nutrition programme aims to provide children living on construction sites, allied industries and other marginalized communities with proper food and nutrition to foster healthy physical and cognitive development. With our nutrition programme, we work to contribute to the overall well-being and development of the children on construction sites.
For children of ages 3-6 years, we have tied up with the Government's Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) at most of our centres, to provide meals and snacks for this age group.

Breakfast:

Each morning, children start their day with a comforting bowl of warm milk mixed with flattened rice (poha) and a touch of sugar — a simple, wholesome breakfast that fuels their energy for the day ahead.

Mid-Morning Snack:

As the day continues, every child enjoys a fresh banana or seasonal fruit, adding natural sweetness and essential nutrients to their routine.

Lunch (Outsourced):

At lunchtime, children enjoy hearty servings of khichdi, prepared with a nutritious mix of vegetables, lentils, rice, and sprouts. It’s a warm, balanced meal that nourishes them with proteins, vitamins, and plenty of goodness.

Evening Snack:

Our children end their day with smiles as they enjoy rajgira ladoo, lapsi, or sheera — nutritious, heartwarming snacks they truly cherish.

By supporting our nutrition programme, you will be helping to provide essential nutritional support to children at critical periods in their physical and cognitive development.
